The Newt is not for everyone. The entrance fee, albeit valid for a year, can be a bit steep unless you go multiple times during your stay. That said, The Newt has been created/renovated beautifully and everything is truly of the highest standard, no expense has been spared and it is a must visit for anyone who loves gardening.
There is a fantastic, and interactive, exhibition ’history of the garden’ that is worth a visit by all ages. An absolute must is the rebuilt Roman Villa (needs to be pre-booked online) where you can also taste ‘authentic roman food'. - or you can just enjoy the gardens and sit in the many tranquil spaces.
Please note, the Newt does not allow you to take your own picnic.
